ABABOL TOT is an all-in-one sealer/release agent
Up until today the care of the molds required three basic treatments, cleaning, sealing and a release agent. With our product ABABOL TOT we have simplified the process, whilst reducing the application time. For this, Ababol Products has achieved a perfect combination and balance between the sealant polymers and the release agent polymers achieving a cure period between both that are in perfect balance and that do not lengthen the waiting times that the industry currently has.
In the following graph you can see the results obtained with a universal test machine
which applies the necessary force to two pieces joined in a constant area of 10cm2 until they are separated. These pieces have received a treatment of different release agents without previous sealing. We will carry out demoulding until there is a bonding of the pieces with breakage of the surface in the separation.
The results obtained are as follows:
The solvent based, from the 5th demoulding it quickly increases the force necessary to separate the pieces, we see that after 5000 N we started to see the pieces being stuck.
The water-based, from the 6th demoulding it quickly increases the force required to separate the pieces, we see that after exceeding the 5000 N we started to see the pieces being stuck.
-In the products with built-in sealant or as we see in the classic treatment of release agent + sealer as we might expect, the the force is increasing in a more progressive way, thus achieving a greater number of releases.
This guarantees that the gluing of the surfaces does not happen to us in an unexpected and rapid way, but that little by little we see how we need more force to remove the mould-pieces.
Another of the great advantages of this product is that the treated surface does not decrease both the surface energy g as in the case of silicones, and other release agents with high non-stick power, avoiding to a large extent the formation of rejections, fish eyes, micropores, etc. Getting more homogeneous and easier to apply contact surfaces.
